Orientation for New Hikers

Learn to hike safely in the southern Arizona desert.  Before taking your first hike with the club or returning to the club after a 3-year hiatus, you must attend an Orientation session.  You will learn about the equipment, procedures, and opportunities to maximize your hiking enjoyment with the GVR Hiking Club.

Orientation sessions take place on Mondays at the GVR East Center - Lounge.  They begin promptly at 8:00 am and last approximately 1.5 hours.  Please arrive by 7:50 am.  GVR Covid-19 policy will be followed (see GVR COVID-19 Policy).

Note:
  • Registration must be completed online.  There are no walk-up or in-person registrations.
  • You must have a current GVR member card or current GVR tenant card.
  • If you are new to the club or have not been a member for 3 or more years, you must attend Orientation.
